ILOILO City – A resident of Barangay Balabago, Alimodian, Iloilo was accused of shooting to death his brother-in-law.
The 62-year-old Nilo Amora was arrested and detained at the Alimodian police station.
The victim, 42-year-old Edgar Francisco, was walking home at around 8:20 p.m. Saturday when shot, a police report stated.
Francisco was taken to the Aleosan District Hospital where he was pronounced “dead on arrival.” He was hit on the back and the right armpit.
A witness pointed to Amora as suspect, said the police.
Officers arrested Amora but did not recover any firearm from him.
Amora denied having a hand in the crime./PN
