KALIBO, Aklan – Philippine National Police (PNP) chief General Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar emphasized discipline and cleanliness during a command visit in Aklan province on Oct. 8.
The country’s top cop visited the Kalibo municipal police station to check compliance of his intensified cleanliness program, and the operational readiness of the station.
It was the first visit of the PNP chief to Camp Pastor Martelino, home of the Aklan Police Provincial Office, in Barangay New Buswang, Kalibo, Aklan.
In 2005, he visited Aklan to pay his last respects to a Philippine Military Academy (PMA) classmate and former chief of police of Kalibo.
Eleazar also challenged the policemen to be dedicate d to their work by engaging in various police-community activities.
Eleazar said his command visit to Aklan should motivate uniformed and non-uniformed police personnel to do better in the police service./PN
