IT’S been almost two years since Elisse Joson gave birth to her first child with partner McCoy de Leon. And now the Kapamilya actress is rumored to be on the family way again after reconciling with the “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” actor earlier this year.
In an interview with Gretchen Fullido on TV Patrol on July 13, Elisse cleared up rumors which started when she was not able to attend one of the promo tours for their new show.
“Nakakaloka (laughs). Magtatrabaho muna tayo. Nakakatawa. Nilagnat lang ako nung isang araw pero hindi ako pregnant,” she confirmed.
Meanwhile, as part of the show that will mark ABS-CBN’s return to the afternoon series block, “Pira-pirasong Paraiso,” Elisse said she is grateful to have been chosen as one of the four lead stars.
Unlike her younger co-stars Loisa Andalio and Alexa Ilacad, Elisse said she does not mind having no leading man or love team partner in her latest project.
“It’s very refreshing para sa akin na hindi ako maging directly na third wheel or may ka-love team or love interest. I’m really happy to be given this role kasi nga challenge ito sa akin na iba ‘yung goal ng character ko sa seryeng ito,” she said.
Having to work closely with Alexa, Loisa, and Charlie Dizon, who will play her long-lost siblings in the series, Elisse shared that she was not worried about any onscreen rivalry between all of them.
“Pira-pirasong Paraiso” is directed by Raymund Ocampo under Dreamscape Entertainment. It will start airing on July 25. (PUSH)
