ILOILO City – Elite Lab capped off its perfect run in the JB Amateur Basketball League Elite Division Season II run with a coronation on Tuesday night at the Western Institute of Technology Gym here.

The John Guanco-mentored team did not waste its twice-to-beat incentive in the finals as it finished off the Systemic Farm Chemicals with a 91-57 domination.

Rolen John Pantin was hailed as the Finals MVP and Player of the Game with his 21 markers for the Elite Lab, which have won all of its eight matches in the tournament.

Also making their presence felt for the Elite Lab in the finals were Fritz Suclan, Marvin Cuerbo, Ryan Futalan, Irele Galas, Zaldy Patizar and Oscar Roy Jacinto.

“While RJ made his presence felt in this game, it was a total team effort for us to reach our goal of championship in this tournament,” said Elite Lab co-founder Eugene Chua.

“The team also was fortunate to have a solid support group in Jun Layson of Toto Tia Ten, Jon Co of XYZ and Kusina Tsina that keep us going and winning,” he added.

Also part of the Elite Lab squad were Dave Bagatnan, John Lester Amagan, Matt Atanas,  Gwyn Pendon, Kent John Parreñas, Moises dela Cruz, Ryan Dellina, Laurence Chua, Lorenzo Yu, Kaime Cuntapay, Jaime Papa, Renel Jopillo, Gade Mark Lingga and King James Bordolaza.

On their way to the finals, Elite Lab cruised to a 93-90 overtime victory against the TEJ Stoneford, while Systemic Farm Chemicals edged Forever Smile, 70-69, in the other semis.
