ELLEN Adarna completed her mental training in Bali, Indonesia on Nov. 27 by walking for 26 hours with no sleep. She walked a total of 115 kilometers for the said training.
On her social media page, the actress opened up about her experience walking for several hours and completing her mental training. Netizens asked her questions via Instagram Stories regarding the said journey.
When asked by a netizen on how she was able to manage to walk for 26 hours without sleeping, Ellen relayed, “Yes I did not sleep but I ate and I took breaks. Maybe every 30 minutes I would take 5 to 10-minute breaks. It depends on my condition, but no sleep.”
What was the biggest lesson she learned from her long walk?
“That I can talk to myself for 26 hours, that was the longest time that I have talked to myself straight, 26 hours dealing with myself, talking to myself, I never imagined I could do that,” she stated.
In terms of her preparation for the said walk, Ellen said she was not trained to do long walks or a marathon so what she did was to prepare for it mentally.
“At some point your body shuts down. In my case my right leg was shut [down]. I was in a lot of pain but I was committed. I wanted to finish it. So when your body shuts down, the mind takes over so it was mind over matter. And I had to deal with a lot of emotions. I was frustrated, angry, I was questioning myself. But also at some point, I was feeling happy and fulfilled, and content,” she relayed. (Push)
