TECHNOLOGICAL advancements like artificial intelligence (AI) are inevitable thus employers should help their employees adapt to ensure their job security, experts said.
“Make AI as your partner because in whatever you do, if you make AI as your partner for your employees, if you share it with them, they won’t be threatened of their job security and whatnot,” Agela Fleta, head of talent acquisition of a ride hailing app during the second HR & Workplace Summit Philippines on November 14.
“We should not be overwhelmed. We should find ways on what are these projects that we can launch using this automation and Generative AI that truly matter,” added RL Fernando Garcia, Human Resources Head & Executive of Brittany Hotels and Leisure.
Garcia said in the aspect of AI, the company should not aim for “perfection” but for “continuous improvement.”
The issue of AI was brought up after moderator Angelina Mukhi of Institutional Synergy Inc. raised concern about how fear is generated among employees whenever there is innovation in their company.
“It makes people start resisting the interventions and the initiatives,” Mukhi said.
AI is a technology that enables computers and machines to simulate human learning, comprehension, problem-solving, decision-making, and creativity, and perform human-like tasks.
Karlo Jay Plata, Netflix country HR business partner, said culture should be instilled in the company so that the innovation in mind could be put to life. (GMA Integrated News)
