THEY’VE been very open about their decision to put any marriage plan on hold.
But on Thursday, beauty queen and actress Winwyn Marquez sent speculations flying after she attended a press conference for her new movie, “Unli Life,” wearing a ring on her finger.
She flashed a peek of her jewelry as she answered questions from the media, drawing curiosity about whether she and longtime boyfriend Mark Herras are engaged.
But as she clarified with Pep, the ring was only a gift from Herras and that the actor has yet to propose to her. She also denied suggestions that it was a “commitment ring.”
“Alam niya kasi na gusto ko mag-invest sa jewelry eh gusto kong bilhin itong ring,” she shared. “Nu’ng nalaman niya ay binayaran niya agad.”
Marquez and Herras have been together for more than two years. Ever since they had to deny being engaged last year, they have been vocal about saying that their priority is their respective careers.
Marquez, 26, did say that she wants Herras to be her “last boyfriend” and that she’s looking to marry before she turns 30.
Regal Films’ “Unli Life,” which stars Vhong Navarro, is about a man who can travel back in time by drinking whiskey. Marquez plays the woman who broke up with Navarro’s character just as he was about to propose to her.
The comedy flick is part of this year’s Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino, scheduled to begin Aug. 15. (ABS-CBN News)
