ILOILO City – An engineer was arrested for possessing an unlicensed gun and ammunition in Barangay Pandan, Dueñas, Iloilo.
Detained inside the lock-up cell of the Dueñas police station was Rey Palmares, 46, resident of Barangay Pandan, a police report showed.
On the strength of a search warrant, the police raided Palmares’ house on May 10, resulting to the confiscation of a .45-caliber pistol, two magazines and 15 live bullets.
Palmares was facing a charge for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
