MANILA – The Department of Budget and Management will release a list of projects under the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) with the names of congressmen and senators who nominated them.
On July 14, it listed in the Official Gazette 116 DAP-funded projects, including their appropriations and the amounts released for respective projects.
The projects provided for select legislators, however, were not specifically identified on the list.
“We will upload the full list with legislators who nominated for projects in the next few weeks,” said Secretary of Budget Florencio Abad in yesterday’s Senate investigation on DAP.
Abad said they have to re-check their records so they would know who nominated such projects.
Senators previously admitted they received DAP and identified where the fundings went to.
Sen. Franklin Drilon said his P100-million DAP were used for the construction of the Iloilo Convention Center in Iloilo City.
Sen. Joseph Victor Ejercito’s P10-million additional funding went to call center training and milk distribution in San Juan City.
Former senator Edgardo Angara said his P50-million DAP were allotted to infrastructure projects in Abra, Antique, Cagayan and Quezon City.
These projects were surprisingly nowhere to be found in the initial list of DAP-identified projects./PN
