FANS of Erich Gonzales, who has been very private about her marriage, were delighted after a photo from the 2023 baptism of a child believed to be the actress’ son surfaced on social media.
In the 2023 Facebook post shared by one Frankie Mabanta — the priest who baptized Gonzales and her businessman husband Mateo Lorenzo’s supposed child — the pair were seen standing next to each other, with the actress holding the infant.
Lorenzo’s parents, business tycoon Martin Ignacio Lorenzo and Leah De Leon Lorenzo, were also present at the baptismal ceremony.
“[Three] generations… Accompanying the family in the Christian faith through the sacraments. Today, I baptized Jose Mateo. He is the son of Mateo Lorenzo and Erich Gonzales Lorenzo,” Mabanta said in the caption.
“I baptized Mateo, his father, in 1992, 31 years ago. He is the second of 12 siblings, all of whom I baptized,” he further disclosed. “Mateo is the son of Martin Lorenzo and Leah De Leon Lorenzo. I officiated Martin and Leah’s wedding in 1998, 34 years ago.”
Mabanta’s post has apparently already been set to private, but screenshots of it have already been re-uploaded on social media.
Gonzales has yet to comment on the matter as of this writing.
Gonzales and Mateo, who reportedly started dating in 2018, tied the knot in an intimate wedding in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, in March 2022.
