ILOILO City – Seventeen Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs) of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) are undergoing a 30-day seminar for reformation and behavior enhancement.

These 17 policemen were meted administrative penalties like suspension, forfeiture of salary and demotion, according to PRO-6 spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Joem Malong.

With ranks from Patrolman, Patrolwoman to Police Staff Sergeant, these personnel came from different police stations across Western Visayas, Malong explained.

“This seminar will enhance their character and aptitude to become good servant leaders and encourage them to contribute in the accomplishment of the PNP’s mandate,” Malong said.

Police Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan led the opening program at the PRO-6 Gym yesterday, Aug. 17.

One of the program’s core parts is “Focused Reformation/Reorientation and Moral Enhancement” or FORM in line with the internal cleansing efforts of the PNP.

Malong said under the PNP Command Memorandum Circular 20-2017, the program was designed to transform erring police complained for misbehavior and those who have derogatory records or involved in illegal activities.

For his part, Pamuspusan said the program will reinforce the moral fiber of his personnel and would transform them into better police officers.

“The PNP is firm in its internal cleansing with the FORM seminar as reinforcement,” Pamuspusan added.

This is the first FORM seminar conducted by PRO-6 this year based on its regional training action plan./PN
