BACOLOD City – He was listed as the No. 1 most wanted person in the police station of Escalante City, Negros Occidental.
The 46-year-old Nilo Pios was arrested in Barangay Alimango, Escalante City for the crime of murder, police said.
Pios – resident of the village – was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant around 5 p.m. on July 28, the police added.
Police officers served the warrant issued by Judge Abraham Caña of the Regional Trial Court Branch 58 in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
The suspect was detained in the lockup facility of the Escalante City police station.
No bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
