BACOLOD City – Police officers and antidrug agents have arrested a drug personality in Barangay Japitan, Escalante City, Negros Occidental.
Four sachets of suspected shabu, including the one sold to an undercover operative for P1,000, and drug paraphernalia were recovered from Edgardo “Boy” Apas of Sitio Nabantuan, Barangay Balintawak, Escalante City.
Apas earlier surrendered as a result of Oplan Tokhang, said Superintendent Leonardo Borromeo, Escalante City police officer-in-charge.
Detained at the Escalante City police station lockup cell, the suspect was facing charges for violating sections 5 and 11 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Escalante City police station, Regional Public Safety Company and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 18 operatives staged the operation on Tuesday./PN
