ILOILO City – Police arrested a woman in Barangay Taft North, Mandurriao.
The 38-year-old Sharon Rose Bergola of Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao was complained for estafa, a police report showed.
The complaint came after Bergola recruited individuals as service crew members of a certain restaurant she was not employed in or affiliated to, police said.
One of her recruits – the 21-year-old Ires Vergara of Barangay Ungka, Pavia, Iloilo – filed the complaint.
According to Vergara, Bergola asked P1,500 from her for the processing of the supposed application.
Bergola was arrested around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the police report stated.
She was detained in the Mandurriao police station custodial facility./PN
