ILOILO City – A woman facing a string of estafa charges was arrested in an antidrug buy-bust operation at a pension house on Ledesma Street, Barangay Ed Ganzon, City Proper at 1:08 a.m. yesterday, Aug. 23.
Ana Pedrajas, 48, of Barangay Poblacion South, Oton, Iloilo yielded suspected shabu weighing more or less 70 grams and valued at P476,000, said Captain Roque Gimeno III, officer-in-charge of Iloilo City Police Station (ICPS-1).
“Damo siya residences. May La Paz, may Bakhaw, kung diin-diin. Sang una na aresto ni siya kag na issue-han pa nga ‘Estafa Queen’ using mga lain-lain nga ngalan,” added Gimeno.
The operation against the suspect was carried out by the Station Drug Enforcement Team of ICPS-1 and the City Drug Enforcement Unit.
“Considered siya naton nga high-value individual. Nasundan siya namon guro mga sulusubra one week,” said Gimeno.
The suspect is currently being held by ICPS-1.
Predrajas was arrested sometime in May this year for allegedly stealing her former landlord’s wallet in Mandurriao.
The Mandurriao police found multiple identification cards with different names but with the suspect’s photo.
Police also discovered that Pedrajas had a pending arrest warrant for an estafa charge filed by a cousin.
