ILOILO City – A fish dealer was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion, Estancia, Iloilo.
The 40-year-old Rene Yu initially sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P500, police said.
Five more sachets of the prohibited substance valued at P2,500 were recovered from him around 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 11.
Police said the suspect was also accused of the same offense two years ago, but was able to avail himself of a plea bargaining agreement.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Estancia police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
