ILOILO City – Gunmen shot to death a job hire of the local government unit of Estancia, Iloilo.
Ma. Lourdes Martiza, 57, died of multiple gunshot wounds yesterday in Barangay Poblacion, Estancia around 4 a.m.
She was driving her motorcycle to the Estancia fishing port when attacked, according to Chief Inspector Johnny Tumambing, Estancia police chief.
A resident of Barangay Pa-on, Estancia, Martiza was assigned at the fishing port.
There could be at least two gunmen, said Tumambing.
Martiza had wounds on her shoulders, left armpit, head and nape.
“We have yet to establish the motive and who were the suspects. She had no known enemies,” said Tumambing.
