ILOILO City – A resident of Barangay Poblacion, Estancia, Iloilo faces illegal drug and illegal gun possession charges.
Adrian Sinogbuhan was caught in a joint buy-bust operation of the Estancia police and Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) on Wednesday night.
He sold a sachet of shabu for P1,200 to an undercover policeman of the IPPO around 6:30 p.m.
Three more plastic sachets of shabu, a .22 rifle, a .38 revolver, a shotgun, a .22 barrel, and a gun silencer were seized from Sinogbuhan.
According to IPPO director Senior Superintendent Marlon Tayaba, the suspect was placed under surveillance for over a week prior to Wednesday night’s sting operation.
“We received consistent information about his alleged gunrunning and drug pushing,” said Tayaba.
From his house, the suspect was taken to the Estancia police station.
He would be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
