ILOILO City – After eight years in hiding, the No. 9 most wanted person in Estancia, Iloilo was arrested around 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, in the town’s Barangay Daculan.
Barley Fuentes, 28, of the same barangay, faces frustrated murder charges.
He was detained at the Estancia police station. The court recommended a P200,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty.
Estancia police chief, Police Lieutenant Arniel Buraga, said the suspect and his father Renato were accused of trying to kill a neighbor sometime in 2015.
Renato was arrested and jailed for four years while Fuentes was in hiding, Buraga said.
“Hindi nya alam na nag-file ng kaso ang biktima at may warrant na s’ya,” said the police chief./PN
