BACOLOD City – An ex-convict was shot dead by unidentified riding-in-tandem suspects along Luzuriaga Street, Barangay 13, Bacolod City, yesterday, April 26.
The victim was identifies as trisikad driver 52-year-old Benvienido Gellanga from Barangay Singcang-Airport.
Local police reported that the victim died receiving several gunshot wounds.
The suspects were seen fleeing east of Luzuriaga Street.
Police are conducting an investigation on the identity and motives of the suspects.
The victim’s nephew, Mark Anthony Ibanez, stated that Gellanga lived alone after his release from Iwahig Penal Colony in Puerto Princisa, Palawan last 2018. His uncle had served time for the crime of homicide./PN
