ILOILO City – The former regional executive director of the Department of Agriculture (DA) in Western Visayas is now the OIC-director of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), an attached agency of the department.
Remelyn Recoter welcomed her new designation; she was with ATI before her stint as DA Region 6 director.
“I worked with ATI for 18 years. It was where I started my government service,” she told Panay News.
Her reassignment was contained in a Special Order issued by DA Senior Undersecretary Domingo Panganiban on Sept. 15, 2022.
Recoter started serving as regional director of DA-6 in July 2016. Prior to this, she was the regional technical director of DA-6 for five years and regional executive director of DA-11 for three and a half years.
In a separate special order, Panganiban designated Dr. Peter Sobrevega as OIC-regional director of DA-6.
It was earlier reported that Concepcion, Iloilo Sangguniang Bayan (SB) member John Arcosa is being eyed for the DA-6 regional director post. He confirmed to have submitted his resumé for the position./PN
