BACOLOD City – He was on his way to his farm in Barangay San Agustin, Isabela, Negros Occidental when unidentified men shot him to death, police said.
The 55-year-old former village chief Agapito Euraoba died of multiple gunshot wounds on the body, a police report showed.
Police have yet to identify the suspects in the shooting that happened around 4 p.m. on Friday.
They said the armed men waylaid Euraoba, shot at him several times using M16 rifles and fled.
Several empty shells of the high-powered firearm were recovered from the crime scene.
Investigation to determine the motive in the shooting was ongoing./PN
