BACOLOD City – A man who was allegedly chased by two brothers died in a hospital due to difficulty in breathing.

The 45-year-old Tirso Prendon Genesa was a resident of Barangay Aguisan, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental. He was declared “dead on arrival” around 4 a.m. on Friday at the Gov. Valeriano Gatuslao Hospital in Himamaylan.

The police identified the two men who supposedly chased Genesa – the Navales brothers Hersun, 29 and Jomar, 26.

From what police investigators have so far gathered, Genesa tried to stop a commotion between the Navaleses and his relative Cheryl “Taktak” Lengamin in Purok 8, Barangay Aguisan.

Genesa acted as if he was grabbing something from his waist and this prompted the Navaleses to chase him, police said.

Genesa, perhaps, exhausted by running, dropped to the ground and was taken to the hospital by concerned citizens.

The brothers, on the other hand, stopped chasing Genesa and ran away, police said./PN
