The 2024 Capiztahan Festival is in full swing, promising a vibrant display of Capisnon culture and talent that will immerse both locals and visitors in a festive atmosphere. Private sector support has played a pivotal role in the festival’s success over the years.
SM City Roxas is at the heart of the Capiztahan celebrations, offering a wide range of exciting events as part of its AweSM Capiz campaign. Recently, the mall hosted the Maragtas sa SM: Capiztahan Opening Salvo and Culinary Journey on April 11, 2024, attended by key Capiz Provincial Government officials.
Food enthusiasts enjoyed the Lutong Capisnon Food Showcase and Demonstration from April 18 to 21, showcasing the best of Capisnon cuisine and establishing the mall as a culinary hub in the province. The Capiztahan Taekwondo Championships on April 13 also drew a large crowd, featuring top taekwondo players and rising stars.
Visitors can explore the Saot Capiz Costume Exhibit located at the 2nd Level until April 28, showcasing traditional folk dance costumes. The Capiztahan Luminous Exploring Tourists Gems in 3D LED Brilliance from April 20 to 21 and the Bubble Scope: An Immersive Dome Experience from April 26 to 29 offer unique experiences for festivalgoers.
A highlight at SM City Roxas is the aweSM Music and Food Fest featuring Juan Karlos Labajo on April 27 at 3 pm, promising an exciting celebration for attendees and keeping the Capiztahan spirit alive.
In addition to these events, visitors have enjoyed a Fireworks Display on April 19 at 7 pm, the aweSM Moto Show and DJ Night on April 28 at 4 pm, Swifties Night on April 28 at 7 pm featuring local performances, and Zumba Capiztahan at the Event Center.
