ILOILO City – Bundles of firecrackers exploded in a house that also served as a pyrotechnics factory yesterday afternoon in Zone 13, Barangay Calaparan, Arevalo district.
In less than 10 minutes, quick-responding firefighters of the Arevalo fire station successfully put out the blaze that the explosion caused.
No injuries were reported.
Arevalo is considered the “firecracker capital” of Iloilo due to the numerous families engaged in the manufacture of firecrackers there./PN
