ILOILO City – Three unidentified men burglarized the office of an express delivery courier company in Barangay Quintin Salas, Jaro district past 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Personnel of J&T Express were conducting an inventory when the gun-wielding men declared, “Holdup ‘ni, indi kamo maghulag kay paniruhon ta kamo!”, according to the initial investigation of the Jaro police station.
The establishment had no security guard or closed-circuit television camera, police said.
A witness said the suspects were wearing full-face helmets and bonnets. They were riding two motorcycles – a red Suzuki Smash motorcycle with a black sticker had one rider and another motorcycle carried two suspects.
“Naga-istoryahanay man lang sila. Abi ko tinawo sang J&T kay kalabanan sang tinawo nila naka-motor, abi ko nag-remit lang sila,” alias “Jep” told Radyo Bistado.
Based on initial inventory, the suspects carted around P622,966 in cash, wallet with ATM cards and cellphones.
Investigation is ongoing./PN
