MANILA – F2 Logistics Cargo Movers kept its clean slate in the 2019 Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference after a 25-16, 25-14, 25-21 sweep of the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors at the Natalio Velez Sports and Cultural Center in Silay City, Negros Occidental.
Filipina-Hawaiian Kalei Mau delivered 14 points off 10 kills and three aces on Thursday while Victorinara Galang had 11 markers.
With the win, the Cargo Movers is hanging on to the top spot in the standings with 6-0 win-loss slate.
Ilongga Abigail Marano also had an impressive performance with 10 points laced with two blocks and an ace.
Michelle Cobb delivered 20 excellent sets to compliment the 19 digs of Dawn Macandili.
The Cargo Movers immediately made its presence felt with a 12-7 start in the first set but the Lady Realtors managed to come to within three before F2 Logistics made a huge rally behind Galang and Marano for a 23-14 edge.
Both teams traded leads early in the second set before the Cargo Movers went on a huge surge behind Mau, Galang and Desiree Cheng to turn a slim 11-10 lead to a 25-14 spread.
The Lady Realtors tried to keep in step with the Cargo Movers in the third set with the latter on top 21-20 before F2 Logistics banked on hits by Michelle Morente and errors by Sta. Lucia.
In the second game, Generika-Ayala Lifesavers survived a late rally from Cignal HD Spikers to escape with a 25-23, 25-20, 20-25, 22-25, 15-12 for its fourth straight victory.
Bacolodnon Patty Jane Orendain led the way with double-double 18 points and 11 excellent digs as the Lifesavers continued its winning run to move up to solo second place with 4-1 win-loss slate./PN
