ILOILO – Sangguniang Bayan (SB) member Daniel S. Fajardo II appealed for unity during the opening of the local legislative body on July 1.
“Let us unite. And I will do my share to make Pavia progressive, prosperous and peaceful,” said Fajardo in a privilege speech.
Speaking in the local dialect, Fajardo, Panay News’ chief operating officer, stressed, “Sa umpisa pa lang asta tulad, isa lang ang akon nga rason kun nga-a gya ako tulad atubangan ninyo, ina bangud lamang sa tuyo ko nga ihatag ang tampad kag sinsero nga pangserbisyo, wara na ti liwan pa.”
He thanked the people of Pavia for giving him the chance to serve them.
“Halin sa kaibuturan kang akon tagipuso-on, nagapasalamat gid ako kang inyo hamili nga bulig, pag hatag kang sarig, suporta kag pag palangga sa kanakon. I am greatly honored,” said Fajardo.
Fajardo was elected No. 2 SB member in the recent May 13 midterm elections. Among his advocacies are health, education and tourism.
“Now that I am a certified public servant, I will be true to my commitment to serve Pavia. I will serve the people of Pavia to the fullest of my ability, truthful, accountable and transparent because I am here not for any personal gain or interest,” said Fajardo, a resident of Barangay Mali-ao, Pavia.
The new SB member also assured the local government of his support.
“I am here to fully support our local government, for the republic, for the betterment of Pavia and for the people of Pavia,” stressed Fajardo.
He assured Pavianhons he would remain their “abyan, ang inyo sumbungan ng bayan kag ang inyo kaapin sa konseho.”/PN
