KALIBO, Aklan – A man passing himself off as a National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) personnel was arrested in Barangay Tabangka, Numancia, Aklan over an unlicensed gun.
On Monday, Dec. 7, the 50-year-old Rogelio Duroy of Barangay Yapak, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan was taken to the Numancia police station.
Prior to his arrest at around 9:18 p.m., police said residents complained that the suspect was intimidating them with a gun and telling them he worked at the NBI.
To responding policemen, Duroy presented an NBI identification card (ID).
The police, however, determined that the ID was fake.
They also seized the suspect’s .9mm pistol for failing to present pertinent papers.
