Familiaran expects Bacolod to downgrade in Alert Level 1

Bacolod City-Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran is expecting that this city alert level system concerning coronavirus disease-2019(COVID-19) will be downgraded to Alert Level 1, by the end of this month following the decrease of COVID-19 cases daily.

The city is now on Alert Level 2 from Feb. 16 until 28.

The Department of Health(DOH)-Region 6 classified this city to Alert Level 1, based on the situationer report of the agency until Feb. 20.

The report added that the COVID-19 classification of the city is low-risk, citing that the hospitalization care utilization rate is18.29 percent of hospital care utilization rate.

The average daily attack rate for every 100,000 number of population is 3.64

to the last two weeks, which is lower compared to 19.43 from the last four weeks.

While, on COVID-19 ward beds, only 11 were utilized out of 50; five beds were utilized for the Intensive Care Units out of 37; for the 195 isolation COVID-19 beds,35 were utilized; and for the 46 mechanical ventilation only nine have been used.

“Gina expect ta gid nga magnubo ang Alert Level sang syudad,” Familiaran stressed. He explained that probably when the city will be placed to Alert Level 1, the curfew hours maybe lifted also.

Momentarily, this city is observing the curfew hours from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.

The vice mayor also expects that face-to-face classes will be resumed./PN
