BACOLOD City – Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez designated Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran as acting mayor for 11 days, or from Sept. 15 to 25.
This was following a Memorandum No. 099 dated Sept. 5, in view of Benitez’s official travel abroad.
“You shall exercise the powers and perform the duties and functions of the local chief executive except the power to appoint, suspend dismiss employees,” the mayor also cited.
Familiaran, meanwhile, said that he received the memorandum last Thursday, Sept. 15, indicating that the mayor would be joining President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as one of the delegations in the United Nations./PN
