ROXAS City – A dead Philippine Army soldier here supposedly appeared in his sister’s dream and told her about a grenade he buried somewhere in their village, Barangay Talon, almost 20 years ago.
The sister told the family about her dream they decided to “test” it. They looked for the grenade.
Indeed, they managed to find it – an M26 fragmentation hand grenade.
However, since the area was where many residents were charcoal makers, the family found it too risky to handle the grenade. They thus sought the help of the Roxas City police station, which in turn alerted the Capiz Police Provincial Office.
The provincial police deployed to the area its explosives and ordnance unit for the safe disposal of the grenade./PN
