ANTIQUE – A 71-year-old farmer died after he reportedly fell off a tree in Barangay Lisub A, Anini-y town.
Gerardo Mercado was found dead at around 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, by his nephew.
According to the nephew, he found his uncle lying on the ground unresponsive near his house.
The Anini-y Municipal Police Station said the victim succumbed to head injury.
Police said there was no foul play in the death of the farmer. They however added the body will undergo autopsy./PN
