ILOILO City – What started as a friendly drinking binge between two neighbors ended in the death of one in Barangay Langca, San Joaquin, Iloilo.
Around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, 32-year-old farmer Peter Paul Seterra died of a stab wound on the chest.
The suspect, Seterra’s neighbor Rex Sambayan, 32, was confined at the district hospital located in the town.
The two attacked each other following an argument while binge drinking, said Senior Inspector Wilmar Bolivar, San Joaquin police chief.
The two were initially pacified by cooler heads and Seterra went home.
But Seterra came back with a bolo and hacked Sambayan on an elbow and back.
Despite his wounds, Sambayan managed to stab Seterra, said Bolivar./PN
