BACOLOD City – Charged with frustrated murder, a farmer was arrested at his residence in Sitio Mainit, Barangay Poblacion, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
Municipal police head Chief Inspector Alan Gary Resuma identified the farmer as the 40-year-old Rosal Alonso.
Alonso was caught around 6 p.m. on July 5 on the strength of an arrest warrant that Judge Fernando Elumba of the Regional Trial Court Branch 61 in Kabankalan City issued on June 11, 2013.
Resuma said his personnel have coordinated with the Philippine Army to stage Alonso’s arrest.
Alonso was detained at the Cauayan police station lockup facility.
The court recommended a P20,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
