BACOLOD City – He was stabbed to death, police said.
The 59-year-old farmer Samson Pagayunan was walking on his way home when he was allegedly attacked by a fellow farmer using a bladed weapon around 4:40 p.m. on Tuesday in Barangay Mahalang, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.
Witnesses Jonryl Losarito, 18, and Jescil Tuala, 21, told police investigators that Eric Talaman stabbed Pagayunan several times until the victim fell to the ground.
Talaman fled to an unknown direction while Pagayunan was rushed to the Himamaylan City Hospital.
But attending physician Dr. Allan Ramos pronounced Pagayunan “dead on arrival.”
From what the police gathered so far, old grudge was the motive in the stabbing.
