BACOLOD City – A father allegedly hacked his son during a heated argument in Sitio Linao, Barangay Bato, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental late Friday night, Dec. 2.
Police identified the victim as 49-year-old Randy Gicana, a resident of the said place.
According to the Hinigaran Municipal Police Station, their desk officer received a call from the town’’s Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office informing them that they had rescued the younger Gicana, who had multiple hack wounds.
Police immediately proceeded to the area.
According to the younger Gicana, he and his father, 80-year-old Esteban Gicana, had a heated argument.
The elder Gicana drew a bladed weapon and hacked his son on the head and right arm.
The victim was rushed to the Hinigaran Emergency Clinic for treatment, while the elder Gicana fled after the attack./PN
