BACOLOD City – A caregiver from Bago City, Negros Occidental is being hunted by the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for allegedly molesting two children in Los Angeles, California.
Federal prosecutors identified the 48-year-old Negrense Edgardo Feralin Dormido Jr., according to a report by the Los Angeles Times.
Dormido was charged with five counts of child molestation at the Los Angeles County Supreme Court in October of 2015.
Dormido allegedly molested two nine-year-old girls on numerous occasions for more than a year, according to the prosecutors.
The suspect fled the US and went back to the Philippines via Taiwan, according to FBI agents.
Dormido was slapped with an additional charge of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution by the Los Angeles Superior Court.
US prosecutors believe Dormido is presently in Bago City, Negros Occidental, working as a janitor at a local college./PN
