BACOLOD City – A female traffic enforcer of seven years was declared champion of the Bacolod Dancing Traffic Enforcer Challenge 2022.

Hazel Nagar, 47, never expected to win. She said she was not feeling well during the final round on Wednesday, Oct. 19, along the corner of Gatuslao-North Capitol Road near Ayala Malls.

“Thank God I survived!” she exclaimed.

Prior to the day of the final competition, Nagar said she had thought of backing out.

The spirit of the MassKara Festival and the support of her family and friends helped her emerge victorious, she said.

Other winners were Richel Barrios, first runner-up, and Arturo Legasin, second runner-up.

Event creator Toots Jimenez Jr. said the winners received cash prizes and gift packs.

A total of 20 traffic enforcers from the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) participated  as part of the activities of the MassKara Festival 2022.

On Oct. 5, a qualifying round was held and only 14 of them continued to the semifinals. Of the 14, three were chosen for the finals./PN
