ILOILO City – A lifeless male fetus was found inside a plastic container at the public plaza in Jaro district yesterday.

Witnesses said the fetus appeared to be merely between six and seven months.

Discovered at around 4 a.m., it still had its umbilical cord attached.

John Defensor said he was sitting at the plaza when two gay men informed him about the fetus.

“Ginkadtoan ko kag ginbuksan [ang balunan], amo to nakit-an ko ang fetus,” Defensor said in a radio interview.

Defensor then brought the fetus to the nearby Jaro police station.

As of this writing, police were still trying to identify who left the fetus at the park. (Panay Balita/PN)
