MANILA – The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration is looking to deploy 50 nurses and 300 care workers to Japan, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said Monday.
Candidates for nursing positions must have a professional license, with at least 3 years hospital experience, and must obtain a National License in Japan, DOLE said.
Care worker applicants meanwhile must be a graduate of any four-year course, have TESDA care worker certification, and a graduate of BS Nursing – with or without a professional license.
“The candidate-nurses to be hired shall first complete a six-month onsite Japanese language training and thereafter undergo on-the-job training at their respective hospitals,” DOLE said.
Nursing candidates need to pass the licensure examination in Japan before they can work as registered nurses. Candidates will have three chances to take the nursing licensure examination.
Candidate-caregivers must meanwhile complete a 6-month onsite language training, and work on-the-job for at least 3 years before they can take the national examination for caregivers.
Those who pass the licensure exams will be able to work in Japan indefinitely, DOLE said.
Interested applicants have until April 30 to submit their requirements. (ABS-CBN News)
