ILOILO – A fire broke out in Sitio Lamintao, Barangay Talisay, Barotac Nuevo, reducing one house to ashes and causing damage to a neighboring property.
The fire completely consumed the house of Dan-Dan Belonio, while the neighboring house of Edgardo Pelere suffered significant damage.
Fire Officer 1 Marvin Hernalim, an arson investigator from the Barotac Nuevo Municipal Fire Station, said the fire on Nov. 2 originated from Belonio’s house.
Damages pegged at P20,000, added Hernalim.
There were no reported injuries. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
Meanwhile, the local government, together with various civic organizations, has extended support to the affected families./PN
