
BACOLOD City – Fire totally gutted at least seven blocks while another one was partially damaged at a public market in Bago City, Negros Occidental.
Bago City mayor Nicholas Yulo said the blaze started at the market’s dry goods section around 8:30 p.m. on Oct.7.
According to a village watchman, the fire started at a store which allegedly sold butane.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) declared “fire out” around 10:30 p.m. No one was injured in the incident.
The BFP has yet to determine the estimated worth of damage to properties and the origin of fire as of press time./PN
