ILOILO City – Fire totally gutted the Our Mother Perpetual Help candle factory in the compound of St. Clement’s Church in Barangay Bantud, La Paz district on Monday night.
The blaze broke out around 8:30 p.m. and lasted for about 30 minutes.
Initial investigation revealed the fire could be due to short circuit.
The estimated damage reached P900,000, according to arson investigators.
All candle stocks were reportedly gutted by the fire./PN
