ROXAS City – Properties estimated to be worth P200,000 went up in smoke after fire gutted four commercial establishments in Barangay Poblacion Proper, Mambusao, Capiz.
The blaze on July 14 totally gutted the sari-sari store owned by Maria Labao and the carinderia of Imelda Jarencio while it partially damaged the aluminum supply store of Alma Evaresto and the burger stand managed by Mike Lopez.
According to arson investigators, the fire started in the store of Labao.
Firefighters from the towns of Jamindan and Sigma assisted the Mambusao municipal fire station in putting out the blaze.
As of this writing, arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire./PN
