ILOILO City – Fire struck a house at the posh Puerto Real Subdivision in La Paz district, leaving an estimated P1 million in damaged properties.
The blaze struck around 8 p.m. on Friday.
The partially-damaged two-storey concrete house was owned by a Chinese businessman.
James Kho said his dining room was the most severely affected. It was where the fire struck.
The Bureau of Fire Protection quickly responded to the fire call. The blaze was contained in no time.
None from the Kho family or their household staff was injured. They were not in the dining area when the fire started.
Short circuit was believed to be the culprit./PN
