Fire razes 24 houses in Bacolod City

BACOLOD City – Twenty-four houses went up in smoke after a fire struck a residential area in Purok Kabulakan Dos, Barangay Singcang-Airport.

Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Chief Inspector Publio Plotena said the initial cost of damaged properties was valued at around P200,000.

According to arson investigators, the blaze originated from the room of Mary Grace Lopez around 2:20 a.m. on April 19.

The BFP reported no casualties in the incident and declared a “fire-out” around 3:21 a.m.

The Philippine Red Cross also distributed relief goods to the affected residents./PN
