CAPIZ –Two houses were totally gutted while one was partially damaged in a fire that broke out passed 7 p.m. on July 3 in Barangay Poblacion Ilaya, Pontevedra town.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection-Pontevedra, the totally damaged houses were owned by Ronaldo Dorado and Jinky Aligno while the partially damaged house was owned Lillian Penequito.
The fire originated from the kitchen of Penequito and crept to the two neighboring houses, initial investigation showed.
Fire trucks from the nearby towns of Panitan, Maayon, President Roxas, and Panay responded to the fire call.
A fire out was declared at around 8:05p.m.
The cost of damage was estimated at P130,000. /PN
