ILOILO City – An early morning fire gutted a two-storey house in Project 1, Barangay Sooc, Arevalo district yesterday.
“Second floor lang ang damaged kag naga balor ini P180,000,” said Chief Inspector Publito Ploteña of the Iloilo City Bureau of Fire Protection.
He identified the owner as Ramil Sanchez.
The second floor of the house was made of steel beams, concrete walls and corrugated galvanized iron sheet roofing.
The fire started at 12:22 a.m.
A “fire out” was declared by around 1:18 a.m.
No persons were in the house when the fire struck.
The Bureau of Fire Protection as of this writing was yet to determine what caused the fire./PN
