ILOILO City – Fire broke out in a house in Zone II, Barangay San Juan, Molo district around 12:30 p.m. yesterday.
One room was completely destroyed, while two others sustained partial damage.
Owned by Bahrain-based overseas Filipino worker Angie Villan, the house was constructed from a mix of light materials and concrete.
At the time of the incident, only Villan’s niece was in the house.
She was awakened by the flames and managed to escape with minor injuries to her feet, she told the Bureau of Fire Protection.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation./PN
